I know that a lot of times the things that happen to us don’t make sense at the moment but I’m a strong believer that everything happens for a reason. Things sometimes don’t work out the way we would like for them to work out but God has set a certain path for each of us and we just need to figure out what that is. Of course, I know that there are different ways to get to that path. I think some ways are more painful than others and others are easier, but I think that no matter which road we take, it will take us to the same one that God has assigned to us.
How many times have you seen or read about someone that, for some reason or another, had a difficult life and some years later they find themselves helping others? I love the story of Nick Vujicic, he is such an inspiration. He was actually born without arms and legs, but yet he has become very successful and has been motivating people everywhere with his story. If you have not heard about him, you can read more here.
Just like Nick, there are countless others that have overcome their difficulties and have won against the odds to become an example of how God would like us to live. Sometimes I read these stories and laugh at myself because I complaint about the little things, when I should really be thankful about the big things I have.
If you are reading this, you most likely have a roof over your head, you have food, you have clothes, you have electricity, and most likely drinkable water. If we have all of these things, we are richer than half of the world. Now add on all your other blessings and you can see how lucky your are. I’m thankful for my family and that I have job, which helps pay our necessities.
Sometimes, it’s the little things in our daily lives that we undervalue when really they mean everything. My children are little now and they get in all sorts of trouble because they are learning, they are curious. And I know that sometimes I get mad because I’m too tired and all I want to do is rest but they need me. They will only be this small once and I want to enjoy them the most I can in all different phases of their lives.
No matter how difficult our lives are or how many problems we have, there is always a way out of it; there is always a solution. I’ve heard that the only thing that doesn’t have a solution is death. And thanks to God, we are still alive. Pray to God, and as Him to show you the way out of those problems, and ask Him to help you. It is perfectly okay to ask for help to God when you don’t know how to move forwards.
Romans 8:38-39 says “Yes, I am sure that nothing can separate us from God’s love—not death, life, angels, or ruling spirits. I am sure that nothing now, nothing in the future, no powers, nothing above us or nothing below us—nothing in the whole created world—will ever be able to separate us from the love God has shown us in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
